The options for the InStrabane gift card have grown again with the news that SuperValu and Good Vibes Wellness have both signed up.
SuperValu have added their name to the list of businesses who are selling the card instore, while Good Vibes Wellness are now accepting the card as payment.
Main Street store SuperValu has joined the Alley Theatre, Café Fresco and O’Neill’s Sportswear in offering the card, which ranges in value from £5 to £200 and can be used in over 70 Strabane businesses.
Strabane SuperValu General Manager Martin McCloskey said the initiative was one that they didn’t have to think about getting involved in.
“We were delighted to accept the opportunity to sign up as one of the sellers of the InStrabane gift card.
“We’re always looking at different ways of helping our customers, and we believe that having the card available to purchase instore is of real benefit to them.
“Not only that, but it’s a great way for us to support other businesses in the town and the Strabane area and ensure that we are all working together to keep moving in the right direction.
“The card has been flying out the door, so when you’re in picking up your Christmas turkey and brussel sprouts, why not pick up a few for gifts as well!”
Good Vibes Wellness was launched in the town in June of this year and provides alternative and holistic treatments. The business was part of the Derry City and Strabane District Council Go For It programme.
Joanne Gallagher, co-owner of Good Vibes Wellness, said that signing up for the gift card scheme was another way for them to make it easy and convenient for their clients.
“Since our official launch in June we have gone from strength to strength thanks to the support of the people in Strabane.
“We’re always looking at ways that we can improve our service in terms of convenience and assisting our clients, and the gift card scheme is a great way for us to do that.
“We have worked with the Council before through the Go For It programme, which was an invaluable experience, and we feel that this initiative is another that really benefits both the business and the customer.
“Strabane is thriving, and we are delighted to be a part of that.”
Sinead Lynch, Business Officer with Derry City and Strabane District Council, said the growing number of businesses involved is an indication of the card’s success.
“We greatly welcome the involvement of both SuperValu and Good Vibes Wellness with the InStrabane gift card and thank them for their support.
“The fact that the number of businesses both selling and accepting the card is continuously growing shows how positive an impact that it is having on the local economy, which is a massive part of our Strabane Business Improvement District Plan.
“This card is an ideal option for anyone, whether it’s a friend, family member, a colleague, a business, or if you feel like treating yourself, you can get one now and avail of all the benefits!”
