Strabane Christmas Fayre, Sunday 1st December 2019
Strabane Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership, alongside BID in Strabane and the Chamber of Commerce are delighted to announce the return of the Strabane Christmas Fayre on Sunday 1st December 2019 from 1pm- 5pm.
This event which has grown to numbers of 3,000 attendees focuses on enriching the festive atmosphere and vibrancy of the town centre. The event will comprise of up to thirty market stalls selling locally produced crafts and artisan foods; performances from the local brass band, school choirs and theatrical arts groups. We are proposing to locate the stalls between Castle Street and Castle Place. In addition, there will be a ‘Family Zone’ marquee which will host craft workshops, storytelling and performances.
To enable us to put on this event safely, we will be closing both Castle Street and Castle Place from 8am until 8pm. Vehicular access to the Main Street will be via John Wesley Street for the duration of the event. We will be issuing communications to the public via press and social media to select a different access route depending on the area they wish to go to.
The organising team hugely value and appreciate the support and co-operation we receive from local residents and businesses located within the town centre and hope that this event will continue to drive footfall and encourage visitors to the town. We are also committed to offering opportunities for local businesses to be part of the Christmas Fayre. If you wish to avail of a stall within the event space, please get in touch and submit your expression of interest. Also, if you wish to run a discount or incentives on the evening, please let us know and we will be happy
to promote this.
